consultancy and freelancing for security/sustainability/markets
In 2016–17, I wrote a series of articles covering food security, data innovations, meat free markets and general innovation in science and tech for The Conversation. It sparked a wave of over half a million readers and widespread syndication across major global media outlets, it resonated with someone out there. The catalyst in all this was my- some would call, groundbreaking book- Global Food Security and Supply (published by Wiley 2016). It laid the foundation for everything that followed. I am not writing as much as back then but do mentor researchers who do write so many great things. This essentially means crystallising their realisation that nothing is too complex if you are asking the right questions and can draw a good graph. After spinning out MPCR GreenEye, I'm still in the North, on holiday when I can, walking my dogs every day and getting the logs in for winter.
